Godiva Chocolate Chunk Cupcakes with Vanilla Frozen Yogurt
So tonight I was very much in my "domestic Goddess" role and loving every minute of it. I have yet to bake a cake completely from scratch and for the sake of saving time tonight I decided to go the easy route which you probably recognize better as Duncan Hines, lol. So after following the packages directions I decided to spice it up a notch and added Godiva chocolate candies to the batter. I then baked the cakes in a cute square cupcake pan I found at Walmart. I digress..as usual, lol. Anywho, after taking them from the oven this is what they looked like.
So the tops sunk in, but you know what they say...when life gives you lemons you turn them into a meringue pie! (womp, womp!) Okay, that was even corny for my taste.
Back to my "discovery."
I wanted to make a sinfully decadent dessert so I melted more Godiva chocolate and drizzled it into the cracks. Now it was evolving into a lava cake of sorts.
Next I frosted it with a home made icing that I added even more melted Godiva to. Here's the recipe for a delicious glaze.
2 cups Confectioner's sugar
1 tbsp milk
1/2 stick butter
For a final touch I added a scoop of vanilla frozen yogurt which tastes strikingly similar to vanilla ice cream but is much healthier for you. C'mon...I had to eat something to not make me feel so guilty about all the calories I was about to ingest, lol. Next I sprinkled a few chocolates for decoration and had a party in my mouth and this was definitely worth the 45 minutes it took in all to prepare it. Try it yourself!

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.....
So what I just lost 30 lbs! I try to eat healthy but I'm only human for Christ's sake and I'm allowed to crave a good cheese burger like the next person. Now! Lol!
Again, I digress. So I knew I didn't want any fast food, or takeout burgers. I wanted to be able to creep back into the kitchen after everyone's all tucked in nice and cozy and unleash my inner fat broad on that second burger of mine that my sinister mind had earlier on in the night, tucked away neatly in the microwave, wrapped in foil, protected from the kids by my stern warning not to touch that plate or they'd lose a limb! (Nah, I didn't say it exactly like that but they read between the lines!) But back to the burger..............
Like any other day I'm always more than excited to try a new recipe. Yup, I"m constantly searching for" the best of EVERYTHING" recipe!
Low and behold I come across a 5 star recipe for a copycat Fuddruckers recipe. (You already know the recipe will follow at the end of the blog! I got you covered Boss, don't fret, lol!!)
Now let's be clear, this recipe was nothing spectacular in terms of ingredients, but what I was a little surprised by was that dark brown sugar was amongst the list of items needed. Now they had my attention!
After using exactly the amount of seasonings as the recipe called for and of course the dark brown sugar, my kitchen was smelling darn good. (And okay, okay...yes, my mouth was salivating while my tummy did the bass to Slick Rick's "A Children Story." Back to the burgers, smh.....
Clearly these burgers lived up to their ratings. They were simple, easy, quick and absolutely delicious! I believe my quest to find the perfect burger recipe has come to a triumphant end! (I'm afraid to get on the scale tomorrow, but that's another blog entirely! Lol!!) I am very pleased with the end results and anytime it's silent at the dinner table because the kids are too busy eating to talk you are on the right path and DO NOT stray! Lol, so the burgers are here to stay, but by all means...try them out for yourself and tell me I'm wrong :)

Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese Glaze
I am completely enamored with gourmet recipes. The best website that I know of for which I seek is www.epicurious.com. That's where I came across the recipe that I chose to partake on last night. I've never in life kneaded dough, but once I got started kneading has never looked sexier! And once it rose from the yeast...FUHGHETTABOUTIT!!!! LOL!! The process was not easy, nor timely. There was definitely a lot of prep and wait involved, but once the final product was available the phrase "melts in your mouth," is a joke! Hands down the best Cinnamon rolls I've ever tasted and I guarantee you if you try them yourselves you'll never buy another Cinnabon again!http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Cinnamon-Rolls-with-Cream-Cheese-Glaze-241631

Little Girl Lost
Call me a "Jackee' of all trades and a mistress of nothing," and I wouldn't have offered up a convincing rebuttal. Fact of the matter is that I enjoy a number of activities, but I (like many fellow Americans) have discovered that I am (pause, I WAS) clueless as to what I really should've be doing with my life. Translated better, I didn't know what moved me, what my passion was.
Without debate I enjoy writing, at my own leisure that is. But give me a deadline and it's a wrap. It begins to feel like a job. Not something to do when inspiration strikes, but a story that needs to be finished by ______ date, which is why writing is my hobby, not my job. I'll finish a chapter in my own time thank you very much! Lol!! I digress.
I won't bog you down with all the websites I surfed in search of direction, or the amout of student loans I've taken out to only discover that I had failed yet again at discovering my passion. How many conversations I'd had with the people that know me best to get their insight. Meanwhile I'm posting more pictures of the dinners I've made than anyone else I know on Facebook! I'm logging in more hours of Foodnetwork.com than the law should allow! I enjoy making gourmet cuisines. (Blame it on the Diva in me, lol.) I'm actually very good at it. I've been cooking for the last twenty one years and I can't ever recall complaining about it or hating it. Besides the fact that I'm in a great relationship with someone that can cook equally as well as me and enjoys it more than that!
Longer story even shorter I discovered my passion. Cooking! I've wanted to cater for so long but never had a support system...well thing's have definitely changed! So along with writing, there will be a "Tasty Luv Catering" coming to a town near you in the immediate future Luv Muffins!!! In the meanwhile check out my next blog on "Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese Glaze." A recipe I got from Bon Appetit. An absolute MUST TRY! See for yourself!
